Belleville – An extreme cold warning has been issued by Environment Canada [2] due to high risk of frost bite and hypothermia for the Quinte region.
Both Eastern and Western Northumberland County have been affected by the freezing cold weather.
Hastings and Prince Edward School Board [3] has announced that all school buses have been canceled on Monday due to the extreme cold weather.
It’s currently -21 C and will reach a high of -15 C, however, overnight it’s expected to go back down to a blistering -24 C according to Environment Canada.
Warming centres throughout the area will remain open.
