BELLEVILLE – John Cairns will be sworn in as the new honorary colonel of the 2 Air Movements Squadron [2] at Canadian Forces Base Trenton on Wednesday.
Cairns succeeds William Mills, who has held the position of honorary colonel since 2015, according to a press release from the base.
The ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. inside the National Air Force Museum of Canada [3] at the base.
The squadron flies passengers, freight, baggage and mail all over the world, also carrying out airlift operations, according to the Royal Canadian Air Force [2].
