BELLEVILLE – Police are still looking for a female driver who was unaccounted for at the scene of an accident Saturday, leaving her car at the intersection of North Front and College streets.

One of the passengers in the second vehicle involved in the collision told Belleville police that the female driver of the other vehicle had fled the scene on foot before they arrived.

There were no reported injuries.

Attempts to locate the other driver have proven unsuccessful, but police are continuing the investigation.

Police also responded to a two-vehicle collision on Yeomans Street on the weekend.

A 29-year-old man was charged with following too closely.

No one was injured but one car needed to be towed from the scene.
