BELLEVILLE – A collision involving a fuel truck on Highway 401 east of Shannonville Road caused a diesel spill and closed one of the eastbound lanes.
OPP and firefighters are on scene and are asking drivers to slow down at Salmon Road because of the poor conditions and lane closure. There are reports on social media that another vehicle already has lost control and is in the ditch a few metres away.
The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks has been called to assess the fuel clean-up.
Winter weather continues to plague the county with snow squall warnings, blowing snow and blizzard-like conditions in the region.
