BELLEVILLE – A local group of cheerleaders will be making their way to Disney World in Orlando, Florida in May.
Cheerleaders at Pegasus Cheer Athletics [2] at 1989 Old Highway 2, accepted their first ever invitation to compete at an international competition called The Summit [3].
Pegasus Cheer Athletics is the only cheerleading gym in the Quinte area. As a result of competing at the Feel the Power East Coast Championship in Mississauga, the age nine to 14-year-old junior level-two cheerleaders received their invite.
The Summit, founded in 2013 by Varsity All Star, is a competitive cheerleading event. Teams from Canada, the United States, England and others are expected to compete.
The Summit will be held between May 3 and 5, 2019.
