BELLEVILLE – Students interested in joining Loyalist’s student government have until next Monday to enter the election.

Nominations for next year’s student government board opened this past Tuesday. Nancy Simpson, the student government’s office manager, said Thursday that 15 students had expressed interest to date.

Scott Rook, Loyalist’s student government president, told QNet News that joining the team gives students the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills.

Campaigning will begin next week. Students can vote online for their preferred candidates from March 11 to March 13.
