PICTON – A Picton man faces charges after an altercation at a home near the downtown Tuesday.

Police say OPP officers arrived at a home on Mary Street to investigate a disturbance just before 9 p.m. An intoxicated man confronted the officers and was arrested after he resisted police.

A 35-year-old man is charged with Obstruct Peace Officer and Assault with intent to resist arrest after the confrontation, Prince Edward County OPP said Wednesday.

He was released from custody with a scheduled court date of Nov. 6, in Picton.
