By Alan-Michael Steele

BELLEVILLE – A 24-year-old Quebec man faces charges for theft after being arrested Wednesday, Belleville police say.

At 5:30 p.m. police responded to a call on Millennium Drive where they say two men tried to leave a store without paying. Police say that store security tried to stop them, and that the men fled without the stolen items.

One of the men fled in a vehicle. Police found the other man behind the store. That man is charged with theft under $5000, and is being held for a bail hearing on Thursday.
