BELLEVILLE – A man faces charges after being arrested in downtown Picton on Wednesday.

Prince Edward County OPP say that they responded to three calls all related to the same man. Police attended the calls at 12:30 p.m. One call was for theft of a motorcycle helmet and two were for causing a disturbance.

Police say after investigating, they found the man and were able to recover the stolen helmet.

A 33-year-old Picton man faces charges including causing a disturbance, failure to comply to a probation order and two counts of theft under $5000. Police say he was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on October 16.
