Students in Ontario are finding ways to counter education cutbacks

BELLEVILLE – The Ontario government’s cut backs to OSAP funding this year has students exploring other options.

OSAP has been the traditional route for students in the past. This year students are receiving less money from grants and more from loans which need to be paid back.

The advantage that banks have is the lower interest rate attached to the loan. Alex Mahar spoke to students who are exploring new ways to pay for their post-secondary education.
