Belleville – The Quinte region is right in the middle of a trio of NHL rivalries: the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators (the battle of Ontario); the Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens (an age-old Original Six battle); and the Sens and the Canadiens, neighbours across the provincial border.
So who is the Quinte region loyal to?
With the National Hockey League season just days away, QNet News wants find out which team has the heart of the Quinte region – and why.
Until the Sens arrived in the NHL in 1995, fans in this area tended to be split between the Leafs and the Habs. But with the Senators in play, and their farm team now here in Belleville, has that all changed?

The new season begins Wednesday with Toronto hosting Ottawa. Then the Leafs play the Canadiens on Hockey Night in Canada Saturday.
