BELLEVILLE – Support staff at Hasting and Prince Edward [2] schools, and others across Ontario, are withdrawing some of their services starting Monday.
The decision was made on the weekend after the Canadian Union of Public Employees [3] walked away from negotiation talks.
The staff members include: secretaries, educational assistants, early childhood educators, custodians, maintenance workers and more.
Contracts for the workers ended on Aug. 31 and negotiations are stalled.
