Alleged door-to-door duct cleaning scam in Belleville

  • October 1, 2019 at 8:40 am

By Robert Champagne

BELLEVILLE – Belleville Police Service is warning of a door-to-door scam currently happening in the area.

The alleged scammers approach homeowners offering duct cleaning services. They reportedly do “little if any work,” according to police, and then leave.

The suspects have been seen driving a red minivan; no license plate information has been obtained.

Police are reminding the public that you should always receive a receipt for services that are completed.

If you think you are the victim of a scam or fraud, you can visit the Government of Ontario website for fraud prevention.
