BELLEVILLE – A 46-year-old Port Hope woman is facing charges after police say she threatened her family.

Police say they were dealing with the dispute on Monday when they received information about another incident on Oct. 4.

Reports say that the woman threatened the family member with a knife and used social media to repeat the threat in the Oct. 4 incident.

The woman was arrested on Monday and released with conditions to stay away from the victim.

The woman is set to appear in court at the beginning of November.

Police have released no names to protect the identity of the complainant.
