BELLEVILLE – Three Bay of Quinte stores have recalled meat after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency sent out an E. coli warning on raw beef and raw veal products Tuesday.

The stores impacted by the recall include: Bib’s Meat in Belleville, Your Independent Grocer, in Trenton and Walmart across Ontario.

Bib’s Meat was recalled specifically for stew beef dated from Nov. 21, 2018 to Nov. 26, 2018, and soup bones beef from June 4 to June 9.

According to a notice on Bib’s website, the company no longer dealing with this distributor. It states that there are no health issues with the meat that is on their shelves.

It stopped getting their meat from the agency involved in this recall, Ryding Regency, in June before any announcements, the website states.

The website goes on to state if anyone has the recalled meat in their freezers to return it and it will be replaced.

Your Independent Grocer was recalled for beef ground medium club pack, T-bone grilling steak, T-bone grilling steak club pack, wing grilling steak and wing grilling steak club pack from June 18 to July 23.

Walmarts across Ontario have been recalled for boneless, uncooked and seasoned cracked pepper beef sirloin roast from the Steakhouse Select brand with a best before date of July 5.
