Loyalist College to host traditional Indian dance to celebrate Diwali

BELLEVILLE – Loyalist College hosted a Garba dance Wednesday to celebrate Diwali, a festival which celebrates fertility, honour and womanhood for women in India and Hindu communities across the world. 

Garba is a group folk dance that’s performed at festivals and special occasions in India.

The dances are usually accompanied by singing and playing instruments.
