  • November 19, 2019 at 10:58 am

By Thomas Goyer

BELLEVILLE – A man reported that he was assaulted and robbed Monday night in west-end Belleville after accepting a ride from strangers, city police say.

The man told police that he was walking near Sidney Street and Bell Boulevard when a silver Honda Civic pulled up beside him and offered a ride. Once he was in the car, he said, he was punched and all his money was stolen.

He received minor injuries, police said.

POlice say they do not have descriptions of the suspects.
