Correctional Service Canada reviewing death of Warkworth inmate

BELLEVILLE – An inmate of Warkworth Institution has died while in custody, Correctional Service Canada announced Monday.

Joseph Archibald, 43, was serving a 12-year sentence for breaking and entering, robbery, possession of property obtained by crime and violating a bail agreement. His jail term began on June 18, 2010.

Archibald’s next of kin have been notified of his death, the correctional service said.

A review of the circumstances surrounding the death is being carried out.
