Man charged with threatening woman’s life

BELLEVILLE – A young man was arrested in Belleville Monday after police say he threatened a woman’s life.

Belleville police received a complaint Monday at 7:02 p.m. about a man threatening a woman in the Tracey Park Drive and Sidney Street area.

They arrived at the scene and arrested a 19-year-old man on a single count of uttering a threat to cause death.

The man’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the alleged victim.

He was taken to police headquarters for the night and was to appear in court Tuesday for a bail hearing.
