Port Hope police seize 134 grams of marijuana

BELLEVILLE – A man has been charged after Port Hope police seized 134 grams of marijuana on Saturday.

Police say that after the 23-year-old Scarborough man drove through a routine traffic stop, they detected a strong smell of marijuana coming from his vehicle.

The man has been charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of illicit cannabis and possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public place.

He is to appear in Cobourg court on March 25.
