BELLEVILLE -Three people now face additional charges in connection with the death of a 47 year old Picton woman in the early morning of July 2.

An autopsy found that the woman, Leanne Champion, had died due to a fentanyl overdose.

The two Belleville residents — a 31-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman — are being charged with manslaughter, conspiracy, possessions of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of fentanyl and meth.

Both remain in custody until their appearance in Napanee court on Thursday and Friday.

A 36 year old Quinte West resident has also been charged with possession of fentanyl and cocaine, and possessions of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.

She has been released and appeared in Napanee court on Wednesday.

The investigation continues. Police and Crimestoppers are asking the public to come forward if they have any information.
