Picton removes John A. MacDonald statue from Main Street

BELLEVILLE  – John A. MacDonald’s legacy is on trial across Canada in the wake of the discovery of a mass grave in Kamloops, B.C. Picton has responded, as citizen protests have sparked city council to vote to remove his statue from downtown and hold it in storage indefinitely.
