Murder suspect charged

BELLEVILLE – An 18 year old man faces a second degree murder charge after being arrested Sunday in connection with a homicide last month in Trent Hills.

A search warrant was executed on Sunday by the OPP at a residential property in the city of Barrie.

The man is to appear in court in Cobourg on Monday.

On Sept. 16, 2021, around 8:12 a.m., Northumberland OPP responded to reports of a male at a residence suffering from a suspected gunshot wound.

38 year old, Andrew Brenton Brown of Warkworth later died from his injuries.

Investigators continue their search for a 19 year old from Mississauga who is also wanted in connection with the homicide.
