BELLEVILLE – Loyalist College has started a shuttle service to ensure students arrive at school on time for class.

Located five minutes away from the Belleville Transit Terminal, students can find the shuttle behind Vout’s Dental Clinic at 153 Church Street. The location will be staffed  by Loyalist Life Ambassadors prepared to help students reach their destination on time.

The shuttles will travel directly from that location in downtown Belleville to the college’s campus every half hour from 7:45am to 11:45am.

It’s the second year in a row that additional buses to campus have had to be added to ensure students can get to the college. The problem is especially acute in the early part of the day.

In an announcement on its website, the college says it “anticipate(s) that these problems will be resolved in about two weeks as students get used to their new routines and settle into the community.”

The college also says it plans to actively communicate with Belleville Transit to address problems and make changes as necessary.

More to come…
