Fatal accident causes closure in city’s west end Thursday morning, police caution drivers to avoid the area.

BELLEVILLE – Dundas Street West between Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd. and Avonlough Rd. remains closed after a deadly collision involving a cyclist Thursday morning. 

Police say the collision between the female cyclist and a vehicle happened around 4:30 a.m. Police say the driver remained at the scene after the accident. 

There is no expected reopening time.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
