Victims of a Tyendinaga fire on January 18 have been identified as a mother and daughter.

Tyendinaga Mohawk police officers and fire department responded to the fire on Snookie’s Road in Tyendinaga just after 11 p.m. last Friday. Inside they found Barbara Dobson, 67, and Darlene Dobson, 43, dead in the home

Post-mortem examinations done at Ottawa General Hospital determined the cause of deaths were consistent with the fire.

A 43-year-old Trenton man escaped the fire, but is still in serious condition with life threatening injuries at Sunnybrook Hospital.

Police and the Ontario Fire Marshall are still investigating and foul play is not suspected at this time.
