Support and health care services will soon be a one-stop-visit as a new partnership sets up shop in the Bay View Mall.

Crossroads to Care (C2C) is a new partnership of health care services has been granted $400,000 from the John M. & Bernice Parrott Foundation.

The John M. & Bernice Parrot Foundation is a charity organization that gives grants to businesses in need.

The “newlyweds,” as they joked, include the Alzheimer’s Society of Belleville-Hastings-Quinte, Community Care for South Hastings, Providence Care and the Victorian Order of Nurses – Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward.

“Renovating this space is not a cheap date, after moving in together, and we have been out seeking dollars. One of the things we’re really proud of with this project is the localness of it,” said Alex Conant, manager of Providence Care’s dual diagnosis consultation outreach team and a press conference Thursday.

The goal of combining all these support groups is to create a welcoming environment where all their services can be more available for patients and can offer more thorough support, said Laura Hare, executive director of the Alzheimer Society of Belleville-Hastings Quinte.

Businesses and persons were all thanked individually at the press conference. They included McLaughlin & White, PACE Design, Knudson Construction, Bernie Ouellet, Bay View Mall, United Way of Quinte, Southeast Local Health Integration Network and the John & Bernice Parrot Foundation.

Renovations are estimated to be completed sometime in December.
