Turn your clocks back

  • October 31, 2013 at 10:21 am

By Katy Burley

BELLEVILLE – It’s that time of year again – time to gain an hour’s sleep!

Everyone lost an hour’s sleep when the clocks were turned ahead to switch to daylight time in the spring (March 10), and now it’s time to regain that sleep. Standard time returns at 2 a.m. Sunday, so turn your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday.

Until 2006, daylight time started on the first Sunday of April and ended on the last Sunday in October. In 2007, it was extended by four weeks, with the time change moved to the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November.
