Loyalist hosting postgraduate fair

BELLEVILLE – Loyalist College is going to showcase its postgraduate programs as well as university partnerships for students and prospective students on Thursday. The postgraduate fair takes place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the dining hall at the Kente Building.

Organizer Lyndsay Kerik says the fair will help students who may want to further their education.

“The postgraduate fair will benefit current students who are considering furthering their education once they complete their program here. So if they want to move on to university or continue studies here at Loyalist with an additional post-grad certificate they will be able to speak directly to the coordinators of the programs and university reps about what they can expect,” Kerik said.

Loyalist’s university agreements are in place to give students advanced standing or credit transfers at universities.

Loyalist offers 77 transfer agreements with universities around the world. Attending the fair will be representatives of the University of New Brunswick, Royal Roads University of British Columbia, Griffith University in Australia, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Tyndale University College in Toronto, Peterborough’s Trent University, Athabasca University from Alberta and Brock University in St. Catharines.

Loyalist College offers five postgraduate programs: Fundraising and Development, Human Resources Management, Public Relations, Sports and Entertainment Sales and Marketing and Sports Journalism.

Information on January start programs for prospective students will also be on hand.
