BELLEVILLE – Police have just escorted a man in handcuffs from a house at 56 Everett St.  into a police cruiser, after an incident that saw a heavy police presence outside the home. The street was closed by police and area residents were told they could not return to their homes during the incident.

Officers are now inside the home taking photographs.

There are reports that a man had barricaded himself inside the home.

We will be updating the situation as we have more information.
