Police release description of boat used by two missing boaters

BELLEVILLE – Police have released a description of the boat used by two anglers who went missing on the Bay of Quinte a week ago.

Quinte West OPP say they are looking for a red aluminum fishing boat that may have LUND or Springbok written on the side.

The police have also asked for anyone living along the shoreline of the Bay of Quinte to check for debris.

Charles Dopking, 47, of the Murray Ward of Quinte West, and another man were last seen south of the Dufferin Street boat launch in Trenton. Police say the only name they have for the second man is “Gus” or “Goose.” They were reported missing around 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Police still don’t have the identity of the second man.
