BELLEVILLE – Both of the local school boards have elected their top officials for the coming year.

On Monday, members of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board re-elected Dwayne Inch as chair for another term. Dave Patterson was re-elected vice-chair.

Inch, who represents South Prince Edward County, has been on the board since 2006. He was appointed chair in June 2011 after the previous chair died.

Patterson, who represents Belleville/Thurlow, has been on the board since 2010.

On Tuesday, the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board elected Tom Dall of Belleville as its 2014 chair and John Brisbois of Quinte West as vice-chair.

School-board elections are held every four years. The next one will be in October 2014.
