Funeral today at CFB Trenton for Cpl. Adam Eckhardt

BELLEVILLE – Cpl. Adam Eckhardt will be laid to rest in his hometown of Trenton today at 2 p.m.

Eckhardt, 29, was based at Canadian Forces Base Suffield in Alberta when he took his own life on Jan. 3.

The husband and father of two served domestic missions during his military career.

He grew up in this area and played basketball and football for Trenton High School.

The service is being held at the chapel at CFB Trenton, 91 Namaeo Dr., at 2 p.m.
