BELLEVILLE – A 22-year-old Belleville man has been charged with 12 counts of fraud and five counts of theft.

The charges were laid after police were called to a business on Bell Boulevard. After further investigation the man was arrested.

Sgt. Christopher Barry said it was discovered the alleged offences had been going on for quite some time, but he refused to comment on whether the suspect was an employee of the business. He also declined to name the business.

The charges are all for amounts under $5,000.

The man, whom police have not named, has been released with a court date in February.
