Dinner brings international students and local community together

PETERBOROUGH – International students at Trent University will gather to prepare traditional dishes from their homelands as part of an annual evening of fun and food on Saturday.

The event is held as an opportunity for students and faculty from the international and local community to meet socially. Last year around 80 students and faculty members attended.

The food is being prepared by the Trent University Chinese Student Association, the Trent African Caribbean Student Union, the Hispanic Organization for Latin Awareness, the Trent South East Asia Organization and the South Asia Association at Trent. The Trent International Student Association choir will perform some songs.

The event takes place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Brock Street starting at 6 p.m. Dress is semi-formal.

Tickets are on sale at Champlain College.
