BELLEVILLE – Gleaners Food Bank will hold its annual fundraiser this Saturday.
The celebration will feature a locally harvested meal and a comedic theatre production on the theme of the bed-in for peace that ex-Beatle John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono carried out at Montreal’s Queen Elizabeth Hotel in 1969.
Kirsten Geisler, the director’s assistant at Gleaners, says the food bank is predicting the number of food-bank users will rise after recent job cuts in the Belleville area:
