BELLEVILLE – A 55-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run collision Thursday evening.

The woman was hurt when a vehicle eastbound on Bridge Street struck another vehicle that was heading south on Bleecker Avenue, Belleville Police say. The first vehicle was later found at an east-end apartment complex with the help of the public, according to police. The driver, however, was not present.

Police are still investigating. Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has information about the incident, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or Const. Daniel Hounslow of the Belleville Police, at 613-966-0882.
