By Erin Stewart

BELLEVILLE – A man has been charged after allegedly trying to pawn stolen items at a Front Street business on Friday.

The 26-year-old Deseronto man was arrested a short distance away from the Front Street business. The items – which police say were still in their packaging – had been stolen from another Belleville business. The man was charged with one count of possession of stolen property under $5,000.

He was released on a promise to appear in court.
