  • September 23, 2014 at 2:43 pm

by Taylor Broderick

BELLEVILLE – A car accident on the 401 eastbound between Napanee and Kingston caused a traffic delay for several hours.

Constable Stacey Cooper, of the Napanee O.P.P., says it involved a tractor-trailer and the road was closed for some time.

Cooper says as far as she knows, there were no injuries.  She says the highway re-opened again in the early afternoon, but only one lane was accessible.

According to several reports, the accident didn’t affect traffic on the alternate route, eastbound Highway 2.
