Paul Boyd

Paul Boyd is the former vice-president of commercial sales Ingersoll-Rand in Canada.

From 1976 to 1980 he served on the Ameliasburgh county council. He is currently the co-owner of Gilmour’s Meat Shop and Deli in Rossmore.

Boyd believes high taxes, red-tape and bureaucracy are getting in the way of developing small businesses in Prince Edward County. He also says the roads in the county are in a state of decline. If elected, he proposes setting up a committee to address the issue of roads.

Boyd says his position at Ingersoll-Rand prepared him to take on the job as mayor. He considers himself a skilled mediator and a good listener.

Boyd enjoys the outdoors. He spends his leisure time fishing, hunting, golfing. When he has the time he likes to go camping in his motor home.

This is Boyd’s second time running for mayor in Prince Edward County. He lives on his farm west of Rednersville.
