Karen Sharpe

Karen Sharpe has lived in Quinte West for 19 years, 14 years of them in Sidney Ward. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Queens University and received a Human Resources Management Certificate and Municipal Management Certificate from Loyalist College. Sharpe has worked in municipal government for 30 years in five different communities. She says she wants to bring a new and fresh perspective to council, focusing on fiscal responsibility and economic development. Sharpe is now working in public service and will be retiring in Sept., 2015. Sharpe says she likes what the existing council has done, and wants to help advance economic development.
