BELLEVILLE – Where do Belleville‘s mayoral and council candidates stand on child poverty? How about on public transit or the future of the Belleville Bulls?

Introducing QNet News’ candidate survey, part of the Your Voice, Your Vote municipal election coverage.  Three reporters took to the streets of Belleville this summer, asking what matters to residents.

The QNet News summer team developed a survey of ten questions and sent it to all Belleville mayoral candidates as well as to those running for council in Belleville (Ward 1) and Thurlow (Ward 2.)  The results have started to come in.

Radio journalism professor Andy Clarke says having the candidate answers posted online will help voters make an informed choice.

He added that surveys will continue to be updated as they’re received.
