$50,000 donation to Loyalist College
BELLEVILLE – Scotiabank donated $50,000 to Loyalist College in support of the Campaign for Loyalist College.
This donation is going towards the Sustainable Skills, Technology and Life Sciences Centre to help complete and equip the centre and provide financial assistance to students.
“This is outstanding support for the Campaign for Loyalist. The Skills Centre allows us to develop new programming to meet the needs of our communities and employers. This donation from Scotiabank will support purchasing the equipment, which is essential to providing those training opportunities,” Maureen Piercy, the President of Loyalist College, said in a news release.
The 121,800 square-foot Skills Centre was open in 2011 and provides space for teaching, laboratories, shops, research labs and classrooms.
