BELLEVILLE – Students at Loyalist College have the chance to study in Ireland.

Representatives from the Education in Ireland program, as well as professors from some Irish colleges, were at Loyalist Thursday to spread the word about this opportunity.

Loyalist students attended information sessions and were able to sign up for the experience.

Maria Kyne, head of the faculty of applied science at the Limerick Institute of Technology, was one of the professors at the college on Thursday.

She explained that the program will match each Loyalist student’s field of study to the relative program in an Irish college.

The student will then be able to get his or her full diploma and a degree that is recognized both in Ireland and in Ontario.

Kyne says that students will also be able to work during their time abroad, not only during their studies, but also for a full year when they have finished the program.

A webinar will be taking place on Nov. 5 from 4 to 5 p.m. EDT to find out more about this experience.
