Head of Canadian Council of Muslim Women speaks in Belleville

BELLEVILLE –  Alia Hogben, executive director of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women, is speaking in Belleville Thursday night at Capers Restaurant. The CCMW is a non-profit organization committed to improving the perception of Muslim women in Canadian society.

Hogben will speak on everyday misunderstandings about Muslim people. Hogben is also a columnist for the Kingston Whig-Standard. QNet News will be on hand to report on the event, which is part of the 2014 Bridge Forum speakers’ series hosted by the Bay of Quinte Federal Liberal Association.
