Handmade lanterns to light up the streets of Picton

BELLEVILLE – The Firelight Lantern Festival will light up the streets of Picton on Saturday.

As the sun sets, the crowd will gather at Benson Park at 6 p.m. and illuminate hundreds of handmade paper lanterns. They will parade through Picton at 6:30 and end up at the Crystal Palace.

There will be live music from D’Ari and Mel as well as the Lemon Bucket Orkestra.

Light installations, a shadow-puppet performance and more music from DJ Ombudsman will also take place.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids.
