Students concerned about residence heating

  • November 20, 2014 at 4:15 pm

BELLEVILLE – Students in some Loyalist College residences are complaining the heating is not working properly.

Some told QNet News their rooms are too cold, others say they’re too hot. The change in temperature has been noticed from floor to floor, and sometimes even just room to room.

Dominique Dawes is a residence programmer for the college. She says that they expected to hear more complaints because of the recent change in weather.

“We don’t necessarily call them complaints because the weather is getting hotter and colder, so we call them requests and reports,” she said. “Students may need to be a little bit patient”.

Residence officials invite anyone who might be having this problem to fill out a work request form. They say that it will be addressed within 24 hours of the complaint being filed.
