  • November 25, 2014 at 1:03 pm

By Suzanne Coolen

BELLEVILLE – Hydro has been restored to most of the 2,200 homes that were left without power last night following a powerful wind storm.

Officials at Veridian Connections said the outage affected customers in the east end of Belleville from 7 to 9 p.m.

Wind gusts of 100 km/h were reported at CFB Trenton last night and Belleville Police responded to several calls regarding downed power lines and fallen trees.

There were no injuries reported but there was minor property damage, police said.
