Belleville man arrested for assault

BELLEVILLE – The Belleville Police responded to a call to a residence on Auburn Street on Nov. 24 after reports of a disturbance.

After an investigation, police said a female had been assaulted by a male friend.

A 20-year old Belleville resident has been charged with assault, breach of probation, and weapon charges.

The female victim has minor injuries.

The accused appeared in court Nov. 25.
