BELLEVILLE – Kingston took home first place in both Capital Bowl games at Belleville’s Mary Ann Sills Park Wednesday.

The first game started just after noon, showcasing the La Salle Black Knights from Kingston against the Fenelon Falls Falcons.

The Knights dominated the pace of the game from the beginning right up until the last whistle, winning 44–21 over the Falcons.

Here is a video of the final seconds of the game and La Salle’s celebration:

The 2 p.m. game featured Peterborough’s Crestwood Mustangs against the Sydenham Golden Eagles from Kingston.

Although it was close at moments, the team from Kingston was victorious once again.

The Golden Eagles got off to a very early 24–0 lead in the first quarter. The Mustangs nearly caught up, getting within three points of the lead but they could not overcome the early hole they put themselves into.

Here is a video of the Sydenham quarterback getting sacked in the second quarter:

The final score was 40–27 for the Golden Eagles.
